Choose from a wide range of Ayurvedic retreat packages including:
You'll receive a daily treatment plan individual to you comprising a range of treatments such as massages, steam baths and oil treatments. Each day enjoy yoga and meditation sessions. There are weekly cultural programmes as well as Ayurvedic cooking lessons and talks. There's also plenty of time to relax by the pool or on the beach, to explore the grounds and relax in the beautiful tropical surroundings.
Namaste! Welcome to Kerala. Arrive Trivandrum International airport 21 kms (approximately 30 minutes from the resort) where our local representative will meet you at the airport for the short transfer drive to your selected Ayurveda resort. You’ll receive a traditional welcome on arrival and after time to check in, will have your initial consultation and check up by the team of doctors who will provide you with an individual treatment plan for the rest of your stay as well as regular review consultations and a final consultation prior to departure.
Every day you'll receive individual treatments such as massage, hot oil treatments, steam baths and others, depending on your individual treatment plan and Ayurvedic package you've booked. Most of the therapy plans will have a duration of 02-03 hours each day but please be aware the treatment duration can be varied as the doctors advise based on individual needs and body condition. You’ll be provided with a treatment schedule and individual diet/healthy eating plan. If medicines are recommended as part of your treatment plan, you’ll also be advised of these with all the Ayurvedic medicines being made on site. Each day you'll also have one yoga and meditation session, with a variety of times and levels available. In the afternoons, your time is free to relax, visit the beach for a peaceful walk or swim, enjoy the resort swimming pool and beautiful tropical grounds and gardens or perhaps curl up with a book or music or simply sit in nature and relax. After evening dinner, again your time is free to rest and relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There are also weekly Ayurvedic cooking lessons and talks and (if staying 21 days or more) there's also the option to enjoy a complimentary half day boat tour on the beautiful Kerala backwaters.
Depending on whether you've selected a 7, 14 or 21 night retreat, on your final day, it's time for a final consultation with the doctor and then you'll be transferred back to the airport in time for your flight home/onwards.
Ayurveda is an ancient, holistic approach to health that has been practiced for thousands of years in India. It focuses on natural healing and well-being. Kerala in the south of India is a renowned destination for Ayurveda resorts and treatments and there are also a wide range of excellent Ayurvedic resorts elsewhere in India.
Ayurvedic retreats in India typically offer programs ranging from 7 to 21 days, depending on the type of treatment and wellness program chosen. Daily treatments are usually for 2 to 3 hours and include massages, warm oil therapies, steam baths and other treatments, depending on the specific programme and on the customised treatment programme for each person.
During an Ayurvedic retreat you can expect to have a customised treatment programme designed for you which will typically include 2 to 3 hours of daily massage and other treatments as well as daily yoga and meditation. The type and duration of treatment also depends on the type of programme you have selected, for example rejuvenation, body purification, slimming, stress management etc.
Yes, Ayurvedic resorts offer a wide variety of accommodations, including garden cottages, deluxe suites and villas and traditional Kerala-style houses and similarly elsewhere in India you can also choose from simple cottages to luxury villas.
The resorts all feature relaxing grounds and gardens, swimming pools, and serene locations either by the beach or on a hillside, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
Yes, most retreats include weekly cultural programs, song and dance shows, Ayurvedic cooking lessons, and informative talks about Ayurvedic practices and healthy living. If staying on longer retreat programmes (2 or more weeks) often there are optional or included tours included but during the initial stage of the programme when first starting your daily treatments you’ll stay within the resort and can enjoy the grounds and facilities there as well as cultural activities within the resort.
When you first arrive you’ll receive a personal consultation with one of the Ayurvedic doctors who will put together a personalised daily treatment plan for you. Each plan may include massages, steam baths, oil therapies and other treatments depending on the programme selected, your body’s needs and the plan designed specifically for you, along with daily yoga and meditation sessions. You’ll receive regular consultations throughout your stay and a final consultation with a doctor before you leave.
